Ted Kravitz thinks it will be very difficult for Alexander Albon to earn a new contract with Red Bull Racing. The 46-year-old Briton sees two very good contenders in Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg. According to Kravitz, the German driver may have the best chance with Helmut Marko.

"Is it the end of his career at Red Bull Racing and in F1?," Kravitz asked himself in Ted's notebook.

"I don't know. It looks like it probably could be. He needs to fight with the team, he needs to fight for his drive. Because no one else is going to help him."

But the analyst does have advice for Albon. "He needs to get to Christian Horner and say: 'Look, I'm going to grab this by the scruff of the neck. I've had a difficult second year, but I'm your man for the future. There is no-point going back to Nico Hulkenberg or Sergio Perez."

Can Perez accept it?

It is unclear whether Hulkenberg or Perez will become Max Verstappen's teammate in 2021. "Perez will certainly have the best pace. He was once again the star of the race at Imola, but Marko still thinks that Hulkenberg will mentally cope well with being beaten by Max."

If Perez gets into the RB17, it could be in the Mexican's head. "They think inevitably will happen," said Kravitz.
