Ricciardo: "Red Bull gave me a dirt bike”
- GPblog.com
Daniel Ricciardo, who took his second podium of the season at Imola last weekend, has an impressive collection of racing helmets and memorabilia. He talks to Autosport.com about his best gifts, as well as the things that are still on his wish list.
Asked by Autosport.com which driver Ricciardo would prefer to exchange a helmet with, he replied: Sebastian Vettel. "To be honest, Sebastian.I haven't done a swap with Sebastian and, because he was a team-mate, it would be nice to do that.”
"Maybe I have a bit more time as he is staying in the sport a little longer”, Ricciardo jokes, “but if he retired this year I had better get in quick.” Ricciardo also admits that he hasn't asked Vettel to trade a helmet with him yet. Furthermore, he talks about how to keep track of his growing collection. "Helmets take up a lot of space, so I need to start organising a proper room to keep them all in - but it is a nice problem to have."
Thank you from Red Bull
Ricciardo also talks about the parting gift he received from Red Bull Racing after leaving the team. “Red Bull gave me a dirt bike, so that was pretty awesome as well. I feel quite spoilt with these gifts.”
