Wolff: 'We owe it to our fans to finish in style'

Mercedes have already won the 2020 constructors' championship and among the drivers, only Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas still have a chance of becoming champions. However, the team are not thinking of taking it easy now.
Unprecedented performance
Team boss Toto Wolff is very proud of the results. "Seven consecutive Constructors' Championships is an achievement that is unprecedented in Formula One and in the wider sports world. We made sure everyone was able to take a moment last week to commemorate the result safely, whether from home or at the factory, and reflect on this remarkable achievement," he said in the preview at the Turkish Grand Prix.
After the one-two in Imola, Max Verstappen definitely has no chance of winning the world title. That chance was still purely mathematical because actually nobody doubts the seventh world title for Hamilton. Nevertheless, Valtteri Bottas can theoretically still win. "We owe it to both of our drivers to provide them with the best machines and to our fans to finish the season in style, so we will keep pushing in these remaining four races and give it our best.”
For the first time in Turkey
Mercedes are one of the teams who have never raced F1 in Turkey before, but Wolff is not worried about that. "We've shown in Imola and Portimão that we can learn and adapt quickly, which is important in a season where we race at so many venues we usually don't visit.”
