Marko has high hopes for tomorrow: 'This will be a successful race for us!'

With two cars in the first two rows of the grid and an off-day for Mercedes today, Red Bull Racing has arguably the best chance to take victory tomorrow. Helmut Marko expects a successful race for the team.
Max Verstappen seemed to have pole position in his hands today, but in Q3 he lost it to Lance Stroll. The Dutchman couldn't heat up the new intermediate tires, which according to Helmut Marko was mainly because he was stuck behind Kimi Raikkonen.
So Verstappen won't start from pole, but that doesn't mean there won't be a victory tomorrow. Helmut Marko has high hopes for tomorrow, even if the weather is going to play a big role again. "The chance of rain tomorrow is small, but it is a bit difficult to predict the weather here. We were also very good in the dry periods. Of course it's hard to say how the tires will behave on the new asphalt," said Red Bull Racing's advisor to ORF. That's what Motorsport-Total.com reports.
Exciting battle with Mercedes
Whether the weather is dry or wet, with two drivers in the top four and Mercedes well behind, Marko has high hopes for a Red Bull victory. "I think it is going to be a successful race for us and a very exciting one overall. The two Mercedes are a bit further back. Now we will see what they can show in the race," concluded the Austrian.
