The Turkish Grand Prix will start at 10:10 am [UK time] with Lance Stroll starting from pole position. From P2, Max Verstappen will try to grab his second victory of the season. At the front of the grid, it seems to be a battle between the Red Bull and Racing Point cars, but Mercedes who start further down in the top 10 will be pushing hard to fight for the win.

This is all on the day Lewis Hamilton will equal Michael Schumacher's seven world championships unless Bottas outscores him by eight points or more.

Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Botas will start from sixth and ninth. That means that the drivers of the German racing team have to make a lot of progress to get close to Verstappen. Whether that will succeed is even more questionable, because the balance does not seem to be present this weekend in the W11.

Will Hamilton take the title?

Victory or not; Hamilton can claim his seventh world title in Formula 1 on Sunday afternoon. With that, he would equal the record of Michael Schumacher. There are multiple scenarios for Hamilton to become champion at Istanbul Park and the Brit seems to have a good chance despite a mediocre Q3.

The Racing Points can score a double podium place for the first time in history. To do so, they have to keep Alexander Albon behind, who is undoubtedly motivated to the bone to show Red Bull what he is capable of. In any case, it promises to be a very exciting race.
