Max Verstappen did not have a great Turkish Grand Prix. The Dutchman seemed to have the fastest car of all, but in the end, due to three spins, he could only manage sixth place.

''He wanted to take that wild action because he had clearly seen that overtaking was just very difficult and he didn't want to miss an opportunity," says Martin Brundle in his column for Sky Sports. However, the risk that Verstappen took was a bit too big, because in the end a possible victory passed him by.

Red Bull not happy with their drivers

''Red Bull will have been frustrated that both drivers did not manage to deliver a good performance, while the drivers will have been frustrated with the driveability of the car. It just slipped through the team's fingers," says the former Formula 1 driver, who does feel that Sergio Perez should now be on Red Bull's radar.

''Perez must now be on Red Bull's radar very clearly if they want to replace Alexander Albon. Albon looked good during the race and might have won. A number of spins eventually ensured that he finished seventh, while for a moment it looked as if he could just get his first win," concludes Brundle.
