'Hurts to say it, but he's the best of them all right now'

Sebastian Vettel already called Lewis Hamilton the greatest of this generation of Formula 1 drivers after the race on Sunday. And that comes from someone who is a four-time world champion himself. Moreover, Hamilton also seems to have convinced his biggest critics.
Best of them all
In Crashen in de Keuken, a Dutch Formula 1-show on Ziggo Sport Rob Kamphues and Robert Doornbos discuss the race while enjoying a table full of Turkish delicacies. Of course, Hamilton winning his seventh world title was discussed. "To win the title in this way, you are a real boss," Doornbos refers to Hamilton's race win.
Kamphues, who is not really a fan of Hamilton, also has to admit his appreciation of the world champion. "I'm turned. I always thought he was a bit fake, but I think he said some wonderful things afterwards," says the presenter. "It hurts to say it, but he's the best of them all right now."
Calculated risks
According to Doornbos, the way Hamilton drove in the early stages of the Turkish Grand Prix is indicative of how good the Brit is. "It is how he assesses the risks. The opening lap was chaotic, but he only takes calculated risks. At the end he had the fewest faults and then you come out on top.” The former Formula 1 driver doesn't think this is going to stop for Hamilton either. "He’s not finished with the sport at all.”
