Wolff on party after Hamilton's title win: 'He said he would stay'

On the plane trip home after the Turkish Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff repeated the modest party on the podium, and apparently Hamilton pledged to stay with the team. What this promise is worth is still unclear for Wolff as well, he tells the Kronen Zeitung.
The party was celebrated on the plane: It was "a little extravagant," jokes Wolff, "There was Turkish food including baklava. Half of the plane drank schnapps, and the other half, with me and Lewis, didn't stop at the Sprite."
The flight, which lasted two and a half hours, was long enough for Hamilton to let his team boss know several times: "Toto, I'll stay with you." However, these commitments were after the champagne, jokes Wolff.
What does it mean?
Wolff also knows that, while the promise is not meaningless, the signature of the world champion is still not there. Nevertheless, Wolff has confidence in another season of Hamilton-Mercedes cooperation: "His signature should be there by the end of the year."
