Binotto: Fight for P3 in the constructors is "not over yet"

Mattia Binotto sees Ferrari's recent improvement as 'encouraging' ahead of taking the right step forward in 2021. Good points were taken in the last races and in Turkey Sebastian Vettel managed to finish on the podium for the first time in 2020.
"It is, of course, very important that Ferrari are doing well at the moment," said Binotto to Motorsport.com. Especially the speed in the races themselves has improved a lot according to the Italian team boss. "I think the car is more consistent and faster. It's great to have these results because it creates optimism for the coming year."

The step forward the team has taken in 2020 is to continue in the last three Grands Prix. "In terms of position in the constructors' championship, the season is not over yet and that is encouraging," said Binotto.
Binotto himself did not travel to Turkey to attend the Turkish Grand Prix. Instead, he stayed behind in Maranello to support the team at the factory. "People at the factory are doing their best to understand the car's weaknesses and are trying to address them. And in preparation for next year, these results encourage us."
