Leclerc recieves Golden Tapir for Turkish Grand Prix

During the Turkish Grand Prix Charles Leclerc was on track for the podium, but due to a spin on the final lap of the race he lost his third place to Sebastian Vettel.
He is by no means the only one who saw a good result go up in smoke. Max Verstappen also had a frustrating race, as did teammate Alexander Albon.
'Prize' for mistake Leclerc in Turkey
So none of these drivers went home with a trophy, but Leclerc got a prize for his race: The Golden Tapir. This is a trophy that the satirical news program Striscia la Notizie awards to someone who was working on something exceptional, but then made a mistake that throws a spanner in the works.
The prize was awarded in Maranello to Leclerc, who received it sportingly. He was also not too moved to explain his actions again. "The race went well, but I threw everything away in the last corner. I made a mistake and reacted via the radio, everything could be heard."
"These things happen, but it's a learning moment and a starting point to grow and come back stronger," said Leclerc.
