Haas seems to prefer Shwartzman over Mazepin as Schumacher's teammate

Mick Schumacher will most likely be announced as the new driver of Haas in the coming weeks. After remarks by Laurent Mekies, it seems clear that Mick will also drive the Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi for the American team.
Schumacher leads the Formula 2 Championship and has a good chance of winning a Formula 1 seat in 2021. The son of the legendary Michael Schumacher is on the shortlist at Haas and everything indicates that Schumacher will be driving at Haas in 2021. All other Ferrari seats are already taken, so Haas remains the only option.
Shwartzman and Schumacher to Haas?
''I have to start by congratulating the Ferrari Driver Academy students who have all done very well this season. Three of them, Mick Schumacher, Callum Ilott and Robert Shwartzman, will drive for other teams during the Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi, while Antonio Fuoco, who works for us in the simulator, will drive our car to get an important idea of the correlation between the data of the circuit and the simulator,'' says Laurent Mekies in the preview of Ferrari.
Ilott had already been announced to test for Alfa Romeo and they said they would only use one car during this test. So if Shwartzman and Schumacher test for a customer of Ferrari, it has to be Haas. Schumacher seems logical, but all the reports indicated that Nikita Mazepin would go to Haas, so why wouldn't Haas choose to have him tested? Maybe Alfa Romeo will use two cars after all or it will be Shwartzman and not Mazepin who will drive to Haas in 2021.
