It is starting to look more and more like that Alexander Albon will to stay at Red Bull Racing. That is what Formula 1 journalist Lawrence Barretto believes after the press conferences in Bahrain.
Albon has been under pressure at Red Bull Racing for a year and a half now. Since his arrival there have been doubts about the qualities of the Thai and he has never really been able to convince. The question is whether he has been able to convince Red Bull? With Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg the team has two alternatives, but will Red Bull choose them.
Will Albon stay with Red Bull?
''I asked Max Verstappen today if he sees a chance to come second, but the conclusion is that he really doesn't care at all. It's the title for Max and otherwise he really doesn't care. However, if we talk about Alex for a moment, because I've never seen him as relaxed as he is today," Will Buxton said in the Weekend Warm-Up.
The Formula1.com journalist is assisted by Barretto, who has the idea that Albon will keep his place. ''Yes, his attitude is much more positive this weekend. He seems a bit more confident and radiates much more confidence. He will keep his seat if he pulls that line. I don't see anyone else in that car next year. He has done enough to convince Red Bull and the turning point was really Turkey, where he was really confident in his car," added Barretto.
