Full result FP2: Verstappen & Bottas chase Hamilton, Ferrari out of the top ten
Lewis Hamilton was the fastest at the end of a session for the second time today during the second free practice. This time, however, it was not only his teammate who is on his heels but also Max Verstappen.
Red Bull Racing seemed uncomfortable on the Bahrain circuit during the first free practice session, but the team still found some speed between the two sessions. At least on Verstappen's side of the garage after Alex Albon had a major crash.
Towards the rear, Ferrari have not yet managed to close the gap to the top. They weren't in the top ten in the first free practice, and it didn't improve as the floodlights took over in Bahrain. Racing Point seem to be the first challenger of the two top teams, just like in Turkey as they hope to secure P3 in the Constructors' Championship.
