Hamilton relieved after 98th pole position: "I continue to be amazed by my guys"
Lewis Hamilton took his 98th F1 career pole position in Bahrain. The Brit won his seventh world championship in Turkey and isn't planning on slowing down after that success. In Bahrain, he was very fast and that was reflected in qualifying.
"I really didn't celebrate [my seventh title] too much to be honest. That's because I was training and keeping my mind and eye on the ball. This is a continuation of what we're able to achieve as a team, I continue to be amazed by my guys," the Brit said after qualifying.
"It's all about the perfect balance you have to find. The lap started very well. I could probably go faster in turns four and six. I can now tell you in great detail where I could go faster, but overall it was a very good lap," said Hamilton.
