Albon and Perez are fast
Alexander Albon starts in fourth place. The Red Bull driver can look back on qualifying with satisfaction. The British-Thai will be hoping to hold on to this position and support Verstappen with a strategy which can attack the Mercedes. Sergio Perez continues his good form, by starting from fifth place. He will be attacking Albon on the first lap to prove he should be Verstappen's teammate next season.
Will this be the last Bahrain GP for the Mexican? On Sunday, he announced a press conference for Monday night. It is unclear what will be discussed, but Perez's options within Formula 1 are diminishing.
