Schumacher did not give away any information: 'They never said anything about it'

Mick Schumacher will make his Formula 1 debut in 2021 and that will ensure that a lot of attention is paid to the young German. This was already the case in 2015 when Michael Schumacher's son made his appearance in Formula 4.
Schumacher's debut
On Wednesday, Haas announced that Schumacher will drive for the American team in 2021, as has been expected for weeks. Michael Schumacher's son obviously has huge shoes to fill because of his father's past, but according to Frits van Amersfoort, the German knows the pressure he faces.
In 2015 Van Amersfoort Racing made news in Germany, when they announced that Mick Schumacher will drive for their Formula 4 team in 2015. Van Amersfoort said that they received a lot of attention from German media surrounding Michael's condition after his skiing accident in December 2013.
No information about Michael
''An awful lot came towards us and especially towards Mick. The German media covered us en masse. It wasn't so much about Mick's upcoming career as it was about Michael. Because nothing was known about his medical condition, everyone tried to fish for information with us and with Mick," says the team boss to Nu.nl.
However, according to Van Amersfoort, Mick handled it well. ''Mick reacted very timidly, exactly the way he is. He is a quiet boy. It must have been very difficult for him, because people only wanted to know how Michael was doing. But he and the people around him never said anything about it. Not even to me," concludes Van Amersfoort.
