Full result FP2: Verstappen in the mix to win, midfield battle is super close

The short layout of the Bahrain circuit is yet to get approval from all drivers, but such a lap time of under one minute also has a positive effect. The field are very close together.
The drivers cannot afford a single mistake during qualifying on Saturday, that is clear after the second free practice session. George Russell officially set the fastest time. Both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez followed by just over a tenth.
Only from Kevin Magnussen's Haas was there a difference of one second. There we also find both Ferrari cars. Leclerc had a driveshaft problem, but Vettel just lacked traction.
