Lots of praise for F2 champion Mick Schumacher from the world of Formula 1
- GPblog.com
Mick Schumacher won the Formula 2 title on Sunday in Sakhir, just days after being confirmed as a Formula 1 driver with Haas for 2021. Things got a little tense for him after he suffered damage to one of his tyres in the first lap and dropped back to 20th place after a pit stop, but Callum Ilott was unable to score enough points to take the title.
Schumacher F2 champion after exciting sprint race
For much of the race there was a chance for Callum Ilott to take the title, but in the final stages of the race it became clear that this was not going to happen. Mick Schumacher took the Formula 2 world title after a difficult start to the season. The reactions from the world of motor racing are of course laudatory.
