Mercedes to use a special livery in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Mercedes will use a special livery during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The team known as the Silver Arrows already had alternative livery this year, but Toto Wolff announces another change.
At the beginning of 2020, the colour of the Mercedes will be changed from silver to black. In this way, Mercedes is trying to help in the fight against discrimination and inequality and is also supporting star driver Lewis Hamilton, who is committed to these issues. In Abu Dhabi, however, there will be a small change to the livery.
New livery for Mercedes
''We have a very special surprise for our team members in Abu Dhabi this weekend. Saturday and Sunday we will be driving in a slightly different colour scheme with everyone's name on the car to honour the enormous commitment and determination of everyone in Brixworth and Brackley. Everyone has worked hard this year to raise the bar in this enormously intense season and we hope that this gesture will really show the appreciation we have for everyone involved," Wolff says in Mercedes' statement.
Mercedes' team boss is now also looking forward to the last race of the season. "Abu Dhabi is always a nice race weekend with a year-end feeling and an interesting circuit for the engineers to tackle. The atmosphere will be slightly different this year with the COVID-19 control measures, but we are as motivated as ever to end the season with a strong result and enter the winter break in the right way," concludes the Austrian.
