The 2020 Formula 1 season is almost over, but Max Verstappen is already looking forward to next year. Then the Dutchman would like a 'normal' season, although he has also learned a lot from 2020.
The Formula 1 season of 2020 was short due to the coronavirus, but also very busy. In a short period of time seventeen races still had to be driven and that resulted in an overcrowded calendar. For the drivers it may not have been very hard, but according to Verstappen it took its toll on the staff.
Verstappen becomes a better driver
''It's nice to soon have a break. It was an intense time. Especially the crew is on holiday after a crazy and heavy season. I would like to have a normal year. Preferably no so-called 'triple headers'. Three races in three weekends is heavy for the staff,'' says Verstappen according to the NOS.
Verstappen has learned a lot in 2020 and has noticed above all that the experience is making him better and better as an F1 driver. ''It was pretty good and I had fun. I became a better driver and learned from mistakes. I was always fast, but experience counts. I now know better when to take risks and when not. For example in the first lap,'' concludes the driver of Red Bull Racing.
