What has become of the predictions the drivers gave at the beginning of the season? In a video from Formula1.com the predictions are taken now that the season is coming to an end.

We don't have to explain to anyone that it has been a crazy season. The coronavirus pandemic has turned the whole world upside down and so has the king class of motor racing. Before the season the drivers were asked to make a prediction for their own season. Some were better off than others.

Perez did well

Sergio Perez did better than he expected. He predicted three podiums, one victory, sixth place in the World Championship and fourth place among the constructors. Only he hasn't reached the third podium yet, he has more than achieved the other goals. "I've done even better than I hoped at the start of the season," he says in the video at Formula1.com.

Max Verstappen is a good driver, but from now on he better leave his predictions to someone else. "I said five wins and five pole positions. That hasn't gone quite as I had hoped. But second place in the World Championship would certainly have been possible. Especially if we didn't have so many DNF's," said a smiling Verstappen.
