Max Verstappen on pole

The Dutchman will start from pole position but will have to keep the two chasing Mercedes cars behind him in the first corner. Valtteri Bottas is keen to end the season on the right foot after being beaten in Bahrain by temperary teammate George Russell. Lewis Hamilton returns this weekend after battling the coronavirus.

Alexander Albon will hope to finish in fourth place or higher and not be too far behind his teammate. The British-Thai could be driving his last race for Red Bull Racing. The big contender to replace Albon is last week's race winner, Sergio Perez.

Midfield is going to be very exciting

However, the Mexican will start from the last row this time, so a lot has to be done to get a repeat of Sakhir's Grand Prix. Perez wants to make up places and take points. Racing Point are now third in the Constructors' Championship, but McLaren are only 10 points behind. Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz must finish at the top of midfield to keep the fight exciting.
