Bottas somber as he reflects on dramatic season filled with unlucky moments

In a video posted on the official Twitter of the Mercedes team, Valtteri Bottas looks back on the highlights of his season. For those who now think that this should be a very short video, you are right: Bottas summarizes his season as a series of unfortunate Grands Prix.
“So many unlucky races this year,” says Bottas, looking at a picture of his floor-damaged Mercedes at Imola. “I can’t even remember all the unlucky races and unlucky moments I had.”
During most of the races this season Bottas seemed to be a shadow of his former self, he was hardly able to keep up with the Mercedes of his teammate Lewis Hamilton or stay ahead of Verstappen’s Red Bull. Bottas concludes: “Bit of an unlucky year, not my best. But also positives I can really take on to the future.”
Good word for Hamilton
Not only did Bottas not have the luck on his side, but he also had to compete with a teammate who seemed to have an angel on his shoulder every race weekend. Commenting on Hamilton's title win, Bottas said: “Lewis, he won the title again, he beat me again. He did a great job all the year. Super consistent, very fast all through the season. He deserved the title this year, he was better. Of course, I aim to be better in the future."
Modest words from the again beaten Finn.
“One of the highlights of my life so far, getting a monument for ‘Bottas’ Mowing Service’ from the famous grass mowing moment in qualifying for Austria! That was pretty cool!” @ValtteriBottas reflects on a season like no other pic.twitter.com/Z8JpUBPS5s
