This could give Leclerc the edge next year, Todt predicts

Jean Todt, the manager of Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, sees a bright future for the Monegasque after the tough 2020 season.
The young Leclerc was severely disadvantaged this year by the dramatic season of the Scuderia, his second year with the team. Speaking to corriere.it, Todt explains that this season must have felt like a long one for Leclerc, but that it is precisely from this that new strength can be drawn for next year.
Todt explains: “Because you are a group, you integrate even more into the team. You have to do this, to move forward, you become more patient. Charles never lost faith. And it is the most important thing.”
Be patient
The coming season could be a lot better for the Monegasque. With the move of teammate Sebastian Vettel to Aston Martin, the Scuderia's main focus is now on Leclerc. Todt therefore advises his driver for next year: "Of someone who has been in this world for 20 years, but he is very independent. I tell him to keep his feet on the ground and to be patient. The horizon is long.”
