The start of Formula 1 in 2020 was postponed by more than three months and drivers like Max Verstappen crawled into the simulator to drive online races. That was not done by Kimi Raikkonen. The 41-year old driver said he didn't have the time despite the lockdown.

In addition to Verstappen, Lando Norris, George Russell, Alexander Albon and, for example, a Charles Leclerc were also frequently found on the sim. "Honestly, I wouldn't even have time for it", Raikkonen responds in an interview with Motorsport-Magazin.com. "We were always doing the normal things with the children and the family."

Raikkonen hasn't used PlayStation for a long time

The oldest Formula 1 driver on the field continues his story: "If you want to do it right, it takes a lot of time. I have better things to do than sitting in front of a simulator and playing a game. When I was younger I played, yes, when there was nothing to do. We have a Playstation, but we haven't used it for ten years".

A few months ago Raikkonen extended his contract with the Alfa Romeo team for one season. With Antonio Giovinazzi as a teammate, the Finn is preparing for his nineteenth season in the pinnacle of motorsport.
