Verstappen: 'Too many people get a platform to say whatever they want'

Earlier Max Verstappen already discussed with Edwin Evers how his sudden fame had changed him. Verstappen indicated that he has remained the same person despite competing at the pinnacle of motorsport.
In the same YouTube video, the two discuss social media. It is well known that Verstappen does not find all the media attention necessary, and he would actually prefer a world without social media.
Verstappen would prefer a life without social media
"I would rather not have had social media. I would have liked it more if we had lived without it," says Verstappen.
So the Dutchman sees more disadvantages than advantages to social media. "Daily life, opinions..." Verstappen doesn't think it's necessary for everyone to share all that, and thinks that too many people get a platform to say whatever they want.
In general, Verstappen would prefer to go through life anonymously. He jokes about the fact that face masks are useful to hide his face. "It's an advantage that you see so little of your face. With a mask I can hide my whole face," says Verstappen.
