Vettel and Leclerc explain: 'These circuits should be back on the calendar'

2020 threw up plenty of surprises with Formula 1 going to several originally unplanned locations. The Ferrari pair of Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc have been discussing what tracks they'd keep for next season. Vettel prefers the return of Imola on the programme, Leclerc votes to keep Portimao around for a few years.
"I’ve never been to Imola before," Vettel started, as quoted by Motorsport-Total.com. "It was an impressive track. It would be great to go back there because you can really feel the speed of the cars. It reminded me in a way of Japan. It would be nice to go back to Imola."
Leclerc has a different view
However, Leclerc disagrees with the choice of his former Ferrari teammate. He would rather see the return of Mugello or Portimao, both for different reasons. "In qualifying, I would choose Mugello. In the race it would be close between Imola and Portimao.
"I had a lot of fun in Portimao," Leclerc admitted. "Of course the conditions were a little different than normal, but I really enjoyed Portimao." In both Mugello and Portimao, Leclerc crossed the finish line in fourth place, a relatively good result in the midst of his mediocre season in the underperforming Ferrari.
