Formula E confirms date for official start of season

Formula E was severely hit by the coronavirus pandemic last year, even more so due to the fact that the racing class races almost exclusively on street circuits. There was also concern over the 2021 season but a start date has now been confirmed.
Formula E will go on after several postponed races
The opening race will take place on 26 and 27 February in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The new season was originally supposed to start on a street circuit in Santiago, the capital of Chile, but this could not take place due to logistical problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the rest of the season is far from certain. The ePrix of China, Mexico and Chile were originally planned somewhere at the beginning of the year, but all three have not yet been given a new date. The other races do have a date, but they are not yet officially fixed.
