Robert Kubica's Formula 1 racing career seems to be over despite his role as an Alfa Romeo test role. However, the Finn is looking forward to his next challenge, the 24 hours of Daytona.

Debut in Daytona

On 30 and 31 January, Kubica will be driving the 24 hours of Daytone in the Oreca 07 of the Danish LMP2 High Class team. Ferdinand Habsburg, Anders Fjordbach and Dennis Andersen will be his teammates. The participation in the American race is a first for the Polish driver. "It is the first time I will race with an Oreca. I hope for a smooth transition, so that we can concentrate on our work and the preparation for the race," said Kubica to Motorsport.com .

Kubica has also never raced 24 hour races before. "This is a new challenge and experience for me as I have focused on shorter races in the past. Long distance racing requires a different approach. You share the car with your teammates with whom I like to take up this challenge. I look forward to reaching the finish line of this demanding race with them."
