Renault presents a new plan for the future and will collaborate with Lotus
Renault has presented a new plan for the future, which should give shape to Renault's new path. "Renaulution" is the name of the project and, among other things, a collaboration with Lotus is announced.
Renaulution
After actually all of Renault's sports goals had not been achieved in recent years, the helm is now changing. New CEO, Luca de Meo, has written a new plan for Renault's resurrection. Renaulution is built up in several steps and ultimately covers a period of five and beyond.
The first part of the plan is the resurrection, in which the organisation aims at restoring margins and bringing in money flows. Until 2025, the renovation is part two of the plan, in which the line-up needs to be improved to provide the brand with more revenue. From 2025, part three will start, which is all about developing technology to become the best in the automotive industry.

New sports car
The division of brands is also part of the new strategy. Renault remains the accessible brand for the "ordinary citizen", where Dacia should be a cheap alternative. Alpine, on the other hand, is right for the higher segment, where a fully electric car is aimed.
The plans also state that Formula 1 will remain at the heart of the Alpine project, with a renewed commitment to the championship. Also, a new generation EV Sports Car will also be designed in collaboration with Lotus. This collaboration can be compared to the Valkyrie project of Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies.
