Lando Norris can return to his home country. The Brit was infected with the coronavirus, but now that his quarantine period is over and he is feeling better, he can make the flight back home.

Lando Norris and his team announced on 5 January that he had tested positive for coronavirus. The McLaren driver was on holiday in Dubai with some friends and contracted the virus there. After Lance Stroll, Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton he was the fourth driver to be infected with the virus. Not much later it was announced that also Charles Leclerc had tested positive.

Norris back to England

The problem for Norris, however, was that the positive test prevented him from returning to Britain. The Brit had to stay in Dubai longer but in quarantine. That period is now over and a McLaren spokesman told Crash.net that the driver can return to his home country.

On Monday, the quarantine period expired and according to the spokesman, the driver, who had previously indicated to have lost his smell, is doing well again. He will fly back to his own country later this week.
