Ocon: 'Those guys have balls of steel'

Esteban Ocon recently got to drive two stages in the Rallye de Monte Carlo, in the Alpine A110S. A dream come true for the Frenchman, who has also noticed that you have to have quite a bit of guts to drive a rally.
Speaking to Motorsport.com, he explained that he did have to get used to racing on slippery roads while depending on his co-driver.
"It was a lot of fun, great even, to drive on those roads. It was my first experience with rally driving, and not immediately the easiest to start with. But the more I drove the better it went," said Ocon.
Great challenge to drive rally
He continued: "It's very different from what I'm used to. You have to listen to your co-driver, which is not so easy. You have to cut the corner well, and while you're focused on that you're already getting new information."
He therefore has great respect for the regular WRC drivers "They are heroes! I was watching onboard footage a lot, but in real life it's much narrower and harder. It's pretty tough. Those guys have balls of steel."
