Has Charles Leclerc tested negative yet? Ferrari driver spotted in Maranello
- GPblog.com
Ferrari is busy this week with an extensive test at their own circuit, Fiorano. Besides regular drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, no less than five talents from the Ferrari Driver Academy will get the chance to get a taste of Formula 1 again in the 2018 Ferrari. Leclerc returns from a positive Covid test.
It has been over ten days since the news broke that Leclerc had tested positive for the coronavirus. He is thought to have contracted it during a holiday in Dubai. Although Ferrari have not officially confirmed anything, he now appears to be negative as fans have welcomed him at the entrance to the factory in Maranello
From this I gather Charlie has tested negative which is good news for Fezza https://t.co/5v2u35nKZc

Sainz tests half a day more than Leclerc
According to Ferrari's schedule, he would be there all day tomorrow in the 2018 SF71H. As he is now the most experienced driver at Ferrari, he will probably need that test day the least. So it wouldn't be a disaster if he had to miss it due to covid, but it doesn't look like it.
Sainz, who is of course new to the team, will be given a day and a half to familiarise himself with the Scuderia's working methods before he gets to drive the 2021 car at the official test in Bahrain. If nothing crazy happens to Leclerc, Sainz will take charge of Wednesday and Thursday morning.
