Nostalgic images: Schumacher returns to Fiorano with Ferrari
- GPblog.com
In the years when Michael Schumacher was still driving Formula 1, it was possible to do almost unlimited testing. Ferrari did this at their own Fiorano circuit. Few drivers have driven more laps on the circuit next to the Ferrari factory in Maranello than Michael Schumacher. Now it is his son's turn.
Mick Schumacher in his father's footsteps
It remains a strange sensation to see a Schumacher in Ferrari red. Especially at Fiorano, where images of the seven-time world champion driving out of the Shell garage are now legendary (see video). Although there is no real testing going on, it is now the turn of son Mick.
He will get time this Thursday afternoon and Friday morning to prepare for the upcoming season in the 2018 Ferrari. Because he will be driving Formula One, he will be given a little more time to do so than the other Ferrari talents in action this week. Shwartzman, Ilott, Alesi and Armstrong all got no more than half a day.
It is not the first time that Mick Schumacher has been allowed to test for Ferrari at Fiorano. Last autumn he did the same, on that occasion he drove the 2018 car as well.
Come annunciato dalla @ScuderiaFerrari , pomeriggio oggi è il turno di @SchumacherMick a bordo della SF71H
