Aston Martin follows the example of Jaguar and Honda with a green livery
- GPblog.com
Next year the Racing Point team will continue under the name Aston Martin. The change will not only be reflected in the name but also the car will look different. They abandon the pink colour that was on the car from the 2017 season, when BWT became the main sponsor. So with the name change, the pink car will come to an end.
Nevertheless, Aston Martin's car will still stand out, as several teasers on social media already indicate that the main colour on the car next year will be green, a colour not often seen in Formula 1. The last time there was a team with an all-green car on the F1 grid was Caterham from 2012 to 2014.
Little green on the F1 grid
Over the past two decades, the green colour has mainly been a secondary colour to complete the car. Only teams like Jaguar, before it became Red Bull Racing, Honda and Lotus drove a green car in the last 20 years. The arrival of Aston Martin will change that, although we will have to wait a little longer before the Silverstone team unveils the official car.
