Norris looking to take on more leadership as he prepares for third season in F1
Lando Norris is entering his third season as a McLaren driver and even he has admitted at McLaren's car lauch that he's looking to shoulder more responsibility as he welcomes his new teammate Daniel Ricciardo.
The Brit has grown and progressed massively in his two seasons in F1 and is hoping to build on the foundations laid over the last two years.
"There’s almost a little bit more of a leadership role I have to take," Norris explained at the car launch on Sky Sports.
"I’m not leading the whole team but you know there’s more things I need to lead upon myself, take on a bit more responsibility within the team and that just comes with the experience it wasn’t something I could just do last year and that comes with experience."

Welcoming Ricciardo
Norris bid farewell to Carlos Sainz as he joined Ferrari but he welcomes Australian Daniel Ricciardo to the McLaren family. Norris is seeing the chance to work with the experienced driver as a chance to learn some new tricks but he did have some words of praise for his former-teammate.
"Getting to know the team, getting to know the car and obviously having Daniel in the team a guy with less experience of working with McLaren and the people within and that’s where I need to step it up a little bit," he added.
"We’re going to find out. I don’t want to say anything, it’s an opportunity for us to work together, for me to obviously learn from someone different, someone who has obviously scored more podiums and race wins and you know my teammate for the last two years Carlos, was extremely good and he helped me out a lot."
