Nicholas Latifi has revealed what his helmet will look like in 2021. On the face of it, there is nothing crazy about it as the sleek design the Canadian used in 2020 will return. What is interesting is that he shows the helmet while Williams is heavily linked with a possible sponsorship deal with BWT.

BWT in Formula 1

BWT has been looking for a new team to become the title sponsor in Formula 1. In the previous four years, we saw Racing Point and Force India racing in the bright pink livery. When Racing Point changed to Aston Martin and that team wanted a historic British Racing green livery BWT stopped sponsoring.

According to the latest rumours both Williams and Haas have a chance to cooperate with BWT. The first seems to have the biggest chance. The team had a filming day earlier this week where the car ran in a blank livery, which may already hint at a new sponsorship deal.

Will Latifi's helmet change?

Today Latifi showed off his helmet, which is predominantly white. In previous years BWT has demanded pink helmets from its drivers. Would the Canadian confirm that the sponsorship deal is off? Or did he want to show off his helmet just before it turned bright pink? It should be noted that Force India first came out with a silver livery in 2017, before BWT became its main sponsor.
