Perez looks to Red Bull Racing: "It's all about winning here''

Sergio Perez has made his first metres in the new RB16B. The Mexican is extremely happy with his chance at a top team and will do everything he can to succeed at Red Bull Racing.
Perez looked set to take a sabbatical after Racing Point decided to tear up the contract. Sebastian Vettel was to become the head of Aston Martin and so Perez was suddenly without a seat. At Red Bull Racing, however, the door opened, giving Perez the chance to finally join a top team.
Perez gets a huge opportunity
''This is the chance of a lifetime. Maybe the last one. I will do everything not to blow it. I can't wait. At the end of last year, I was preparing for a sabbatical because my team Racing Point signed another driver. Then I surprisingly won my first Grand Prix and now I'm going to fight for podiums all year,'' Perez said according to NOS.
Perez helped himself enormously in 2020, by scoring his first Formula 1 victory in Sakhir. This made it impossible for Red Bull to ignore him, but it also gave the Mexican a huge boost. ''A first victory like that is mega addictive. I want more and I'm very motivated. This team is so driven. The factory and the mentality are impressive. Everything here is about winning. It will be a success for me and for the team. If I do well here, new doors will open for me'', concludes Max Verstappen's teammate.
