If the start of the Formula E season has been a success for anyone it has been Nyck de Vries, who competes for Mercedes in the class. With eight races left in the first half of the season, other drivers in Formula E are starting to worry that Mercedes' dominance will extend into their category as it has in Formula 1.

Oliver Rowland, driving for the Nissan team, says he is worried about the pace Mercedes has shown in the first two Formula E grands prix of this year. He explains, as quoted by Autosport.com: "Yes, it is a bit worrying. Formula E can be a bit strange [and] up and down."

It is only Mercedes' second season in the sustainable category, but Rowland is already worried that the Silver Arrows will dominate here too. "For sure they are doing a good job at Mercedes. Hopefully it doesn't turn into Formula 1", Rowland said.

Growing threat

The Briton continued: "They had quite an inexperienced driver in Nyck [last season], even Stoffel is similar to me [in terms of experience]. So it takes a bit of time to get everything right. There are known for doing a good job at building things. So yeah, I think [they are] probably improving.”
