Red Bull goes for faster pit stops with new partner

Red Bull Racing is partnering with Therabody, an innovative technology and wellness company. Starting this season, the partnership will ensure that Red Bull's staff is in optimal physical condition. Especially the pitcrew should work better and faster.
Now that Red Bull has announced that it has snagged an official recovery partner, the Austrian racing stable's employees are said to be able to recover from their efforts faster and more effectively. The pit crew in particular are reportedly going to benefit from this. Pit stops in 2021 may therefore be even faster than in recent years.
During each Grand Prix, Verstappen, Perez and the pit crew will have access to - and benefit from - a range of Therabody's Bluetooth-based products that will be used to help optimise warm-up and recovery, ensuring they are in the best possible condition for each session.
Horner very happy
Team principal Christian Horner is delighted with the partnership: "From the outside, Formula One might not seem like an intensely physical sport, especially for the mechanics in the garage. But these guys work incredibly hard to be in the best condition possible and if they weren’t, 1.82-second pit stops wouldn’t be possible. The downside is that the intense preparation and repetition can lead to muscle soreness so teaming up with Therabody will help mitigate that and will help the Team recover faster so that they can perform at their best.”
