Chandhok sees drivers struggling: "Max was one of them"

Max Verstappen spun during the morning session at the Bahrain circuit. The conditions are tricky. It is very hot and there is a lot of wind. Many drivers had difficulties with balance and finding grip. Karun Chandhok analyses the situation in conversation with F1TV.
"Max was one of them," the analyst is referring to the fact that many drivers were clearly suffering from the conditions."These are not easy times. But listen: they are the best drivers and best teams in the world. It shouldn't be easy for them."
This is what Red Bull have been working on
Verstappen spun and that's something we also saw happen frequently at Red Bull with the RB16 last year. The Austrian racing team has worked on this in recent months. "This is what they also talked a lot about last year, particularly on the Albon's garage side. They have been working hard to fix the stability on corner entry."
For Mercedes, it was a morning to forget quickly. Due to a gearbox problem, Valtteri Bottas was only able to complete six laps. Chandhok doesn't expect the missed track time to cause a lot of problems. "They have great simulation technology at the factory. I don't think it's a very big bump in the road. Obviously, though, it's anything but ideal for Mercedes."
