No pity for Vettel: ''He is a four-time world champion''
- GPblog.com
Sebastian Vettel has had a poor winter test, and with only 117 laps on the clock, the German drove the fewest laps of anyone. However, according to Andreas Seidl, we shouldn't feel sorry for the German.
With a switch from Ferrari to Aston Martin, Vettel has to get used to a lot of new processes. With only three days of testing in Bahrain, there was already not much preparation time for the four-time world champion, but with the problems Aston Martin had, Vettel's time became even less.
Bad weekend for Vettel
''You don't have to feel sorry for Sebastian. He is a four times world champion and very experienced. It is precisely because of this experience that he will quickly put the bad luck he had in Bahrain behind him. I am assuming that Vettel will be very competitive with Aston Martin from the first race,'' Seidl stated to the German RTL.
''I expect Red Bull Racing and Mercedes to drive at the front and fight amongst themselves for the world title. Behind them it is very exciting. Of course I hope we can fight for third places again. However, the differences between Ferrari, Alpine, AlphaTauri, Aston Martin and us are very small, and Alfa Romeo also seems to be competing. It will be an extremely interesting midfield battle'', concluded the McLaren team boss.
