Will Buxton is very enthusiastic about Red Bull Racing. The British reporter calls the team of Christian Horner and Helmut Marko the big title contender for 2021. In both the short and long runs things are looking very good for Red Bull and also the Honda engine is performing as expected.

"The RB16B was planted. From the very first lap on track it looked phenomenal. The drivers had so much confidence, under braking, through the medium high speed stuff, through the low speed corners. The car is as good as Red Bull as I’ve seen out of the box probably in the turbo hybrid era. It looks sensational," Buxton judged in his new analysis at YouTube.

Honda has made a big step forward

During the three days of winter testing in Bahrain, the Austrian racing team left a particularly strong impression. "It was consistent on long runs, it was consistently at the top on the low fuel high speed runs. It just an outstanding looking car. The new Honda power unit is the best they ever produced and might arguably, we will know after a few races, but at the moment the perception is it could be the best engine in Formula 1."

The presenter of the official Formula One channel sees things rosy for Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez next season. "I can’t at the moment see any area in which there is a negative. Sergio Perez has also integrated fantastically well into the team. His numbers looked comparable to Max on both short and long runs. In short Red Bull look the best I’ve seen in years. For me in 2021 they are absolute the title favourite," Buxton concluded.
