Hamilton criticizes Catholic Church: "It's unacceptable"

Lewis Hamilton is becoming increasingly outspoken on social issues. Recently he was already closely involved with the Black Lives Matter movement and now the Briton is making himself heard again.
Unacceptable
In an Instagram Story, Hamilton expressed sharp criticism of the Catholic Church. The Brit was responding to the Vatican's refusal to give blessings to same-sex couples. "It is unacceptable that people in this day and age experience prejudice or discrimination because of who they love - especially in the name of God, about whom we are told he loves all people equally," Hamilton said.
Hamilton finds it "incredibly unfortunate that many now feel they have to choose between their faith and their own self. I want my followers to know that I stand with you and support you. You deserve to be happy. Love is love, don't let anyone tell you otherwise," the seven-time world champion wrote.
