Verstappen happy with RB16B: "Got a good feeling in the car"

Max Verstappen has had a good first day at the Bahrain International Circuit. The Red Bull Racing driver set the fastest time in the first free practice and in FP2 he was again the fastest of all in his RB16B. Verstappen didn't encounter any major problems and is satisfied with the result.
"It was alright," he told Sky Sports immediately after getting out of his RB16B. "Of course different conditions compared to testing. It's been right. Good feeling in the car and there are still things to look into tyre wise and balance tuning but overall I am happy."
Verstappen remains calm
The competition seems to come mainly from McLaren and Mercedes, but the ten-time Grand Prix winner is not concerned with that at all yet. "Tomorrow is a different day even windier which with these cars are quite tricky and we will try again," Verstappen says he still expects Mercedes to be the strongest Mercedes powered car. According to Verstappen, Red Bull must first make sure that they have everything in order.
