Bottas surprised by strategy: "There was more in it today"

Valtteri Bottas could not join Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen in the fight for first position. The Finn finishes in third place at the Bahrain Grand Prix and claims the fastest lap bonus point.
"It's disappointing. As a team, we scored good points. My strategy was a lot more defensive instead of attacking, which surprised me," Bottas said after the race.
Problems in the pits
Bottas experienced significant problems with his second pit stop. The right front wheel didn't come off the car which cost him a lot of time. "It wasn't ideal and then I had a slow pit stop that took even more chances away from us. The pace was good," continued the Mercedes driver.
"We had two cars on different strategies that could fight. But there was more in it today," Bottas concluded.
