On Wednesday and Thursday, April 7 and 8, the DTM cars for the 2021 season will come into action for the first time during the test at Hockenheim. A unique opportunity for Alexander Albon and Liam Lawson to show off their stunning Red Bull car.
Albon makes his first metres
Red Bull will be a very clear brand in the DTM in 2021. Last year it was already announced that the Red Bull logos would be on the cars of the AF Corse team, the only Italian team in the DTM. The team drives cars made by Ferrari. Lawson, Albon and Nick Cassidy all climb into a Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020.
With the arrival of Red Bull, the DTM has finally regained some body. Besides Red Bull entering DTM with Ferrari, we also see McLaren and Mercedes-Benz back in the German Touring Car class. Robin Frijns will not be competing this year. He drove for Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline in recent years, but that team has appointed other drivers this year.
