A half-spin by Nicolas Latifi midway through the third free practice session at Imola caused a red flag today. After a brief yellow flag, race control decided to halt the session after the Canadian driver drove his Williams into the tyre stack.
Latifi lost control of the Williams while exiting Turn 5 at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari. The driver subsequently ended up in the gravel and the tyre pile.
The track has since been cleared, and the session resumed, but close-up images show Latifi's Williams missing some parts at the front of his car.
