Jos Verstappen sees confidence in Max: 'That's the first time'
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen has started his seventh season in Formula 1. It's hard to imagine, but at the age of 23 he is already one of the more experienced F1 drivers in the field. Besides that, he has obviously become a world star in those years and that is always dangerous at such a young age.
The fame Verstappen has achieved at such a young age can only be compared to some footballers and pop stars. We know that they can go off the rails from time to time, but Max hasn't shown any signs of that up to now. At best, he's become a bit more confident and therefore calmer, something that will only help him in the fight for the title.
Verstappen knows it's good
The latter is also due to the material that Verstappen has at his disposal this season, according to the words of his father Jos to F1-insider.com. "Max has not changed as a person, he is still as relaxed as seven years ago. For the first time he now has a car with which he doesn't have to risk everything to keep up with Mercedes and he knows that too."
His sheer speed combined with his calm nature and the experience he gained at a young age make him perhaps the most complete driver on the grid. At least at first glance, he is no longer inferior to Lewis Hamilton on any level.
