In 2021 there will be three race weekends with a sprint race on Saturday. Max Verstappen won't be getting hot or cold about it but will be focused on getting those three extra points.
At Silverstone, Monza and a yet to be named circuit, a sprint race will be held on Saturday this season. The sprint race is held after the original qualification, but now the result of the sprint race is the starting order for the main race on Sunday. There are also points to be earned. Three for the winner, two for the runner-up and a final point for the number three.

''For the fast cars, it is positive, because we can score more points. For the rest, I don't have a positive or negative opinion. Hopefully, it will work out well for us. For the time being it is close with Mercedes, normally you can't afford a disappointment. We always have to be there. I do not know why it would not be so in this setup'', said Verstappen according to De Telegraaf.
''They want to try and make it more exciting. I always liked to get up early on Sundays and watch the race. That was the special thing about Formula 1. We'll have to wait and see, maybe everyone will say: wow, what a great idea this was. We can talk about it for a long time, but we are not going to change anything now. That is one thing for sure'', concludes the Dutchman.
